On November 10, 2019 at approximately 5:25 PM, the Vallejo Police Department responded to a fatal shooting in the 500 Block of Fairgrounds Drive.  The shooting was determined to have involved an off-duty Richmond Police Officer.  The Vallejo Police invoked the Solano County Officer-Involved Fatal Incident Protocol, and the case was jointly investigated by members of the Vallejo Police Department as well as personnel from the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.  The Richmond Police Department assigned Internal Investigators to the case and are conducting their own independent administrative investigation.
