Modern policing is informed by data. Data provides information on what's working well, and what needs improvement. The Vallejo Police Department is working diligently to make more of its internal data available to the public to inform discussions around law enforcement in the Vallejo community.

We must always remember that behind the statistics there are real people who experience suffering and tragedy. We must provide them with trauma-informed care and compassionate service.
