Captain Ramrakha began his law enforcement career in 1998 at the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. In 2002 he joined the Vallejo Police Department where he served in specialized units including the Crime Suppression Unit and the Northern California Computer Crimes Task Force. Captain Ramrakha was promoted to Corporal in 2013 where he worked as a Field Training Officer and Force Options Instructor. In 2015 he was promoted to Sergeant with assignments in Professional Standards, Patrol Supervision, and Internal Affairs. Promoted to Lieutenant in 2021, Captain Ramrakha served as a Patrol Watch Commander. In March of 2024, he was promoted to Captain of the Administrative Bureau.

 

Captain Ramrakha holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Rhetoric & Communications from the University of California, Davis. He also holds a Juris Doctor from John F. Kennedy University.
