Jason Bauer, Lieutenant, Vallejo Police Department

Lieutenant Jason Bauer began his law enforcement career with the Vallejo Police Department in 2001 as a Police Cadet while pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He was sponsored by the Vallejo Police Department to attend the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy and was later hired as a full time police officer.

Throughout his career, Lieutenant Bauer has served in a variety of operational assignments, including Patrol, Field Training Officer, Bicycle Patrol, and Mobile Field Force. He is a certified instructor in Arrest and Control and Emergency Vehicle Operations.

After being promoted to Sergeant, Lieutenant Bauer continued to work in the Patrol Division and served as a Field Training Sergeant.

Currently, Lieutenant Bauer serves as a Watch Commander, Field Training Lieutenant, and the Service Area Lieutenant for West Vallejo.
