VALLEJO, CA - On May 14, 2024, at approximately 4:25 PM, the Vallejo Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a shooting on the 100 block of Marquette Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound and provided medical aid until medical personnel arrived. The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The Vallejo Police Department's Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation at this time.

The male's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Coroner's Office.
