On June 27, 2023, at approximately 4:01 AM, Vallejo Police Department officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress on the 1400 block of Springs Rd.

Upon arrival at the scene, one officer was struck by a suspect fleeing in a vehicle. The officer discharged his duty weapon striking the suspect. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non life threatening injury .After treatment he will be booked into Solano County Jail.

The Solano County Major Crimes Task Force responded to the scene and took over this investigation.
